exchange A for B = replace A with B = change A for B : (...로) A를 교체하다, 대체하다, 바꾸다
substitute A for B : (...대신) A를 사용하다
She exchanged the black sweater for a red one.
=She replaced the black sweater with a red one.
=She changed the black sweater for a red one.
=She substituted a red sweaeter for the black one.
